116th Congress S. Bill 4097
Extend the Moratorium on Residential Evictions
Jake Wilde
As an unprecedented global crisis still looms over the world, we must do right by those still struggling in America. It is imperative that Congress hears support for the eviction moratorium as we continue to battle against COVID-19. Congresswoman Maxine Waters and the 102 cosponsors requested an extension on the moratorium on residential evictions with their introduction of H.R. 4791, Protecting Renters from Evictions Act of 2021. The socioeconomic implications of evictions during the pandemic are too great for our country to handle, and we also have a moral obligation to protect our fellow citizens.
