117th Congress H. Bill 3469

'Boots to Business Program' Support Entrepreneurial Veterans

Nolan Benjamin

When re-entering society from deployment, veterans struggle with PTSD and other mental health obstacles. The 'Boots to Business Program' aims to bridge this gap through education and training in order for veterans to start successful businesses. Involvement in entrepreneurship can enrich the lives of traumatized veterans and aid in solving a prevalent public health crisis. In general, this program will provide business opportunities for deserving civil servants. The Veteran Entrepreneurship Training Act of 2021 strives to provide eligible veterans with the tools, skills, and knowledge necessary to identify a business opportunity, draft a business plan, identify sources of capital, connect with local resources for small business concerns, and start up a small business concern. The pillars of this program will certainly help veterans become comfortable in their American communities. I urge support for H.R. 3469 to directly aid our veterans.
